Teenage BDO11 screwup and butthurt contestants.you want fairness?here,take it.

TL;DR.Wall of text below.some clarifications.


Teenage's Management

though it has already improved to some extent compared to last year's most failed competition management,it was still shit-tier.so megumi was informed via email that she have arrive for the red carpet by 1.30pm.we had to panick alot because we had a last min rehearsal at khaikhai's house,and we had to do the makeup which took close to an hour.after rushing like crazy and driving down to the event area,we were told that it starts at 2pm instead of 1.30pm.no reasons were given,so that still wasnt that bad.

when we were told to go into the holding room,it was a torn down shop,un-tiled flooring,no lights,and the ground was so dusty,it was impossible to sit down in your costume.after which when we found out that the k-pop dancer's holding room HAD LIGHTS,HAD CARPET AND TILED FLOORING AND EVEN AN ORGANISER ON STANDBY,you'll immediately think that this is nothing but pure f ucking biasness.

after the red carpet and when we were resting,one of the organisers came in and told megumi that she's contestant no.3,when it was clearly stated in the email that she's the last contestant (no.8)so since after insisting that she's no.8,they agreed and we thought everything's going back to as planned.but after the 6th competitiors came down,megumi was forced to go up as contestant no.7 because her name was mentioned.i mean,if you tell your contestants that they're of a certain number,KEEP IT THAT WAY AND DONT SCREW IT UP BY JUMPING QUEUE.or unless another group bribed/insisted that want to go later,thus megumi was shifted here and there.teenage's organisers are PLAIN UNPROFESSIONAL ON THAT PART.cosplayers need time for mental preparation,and without even any prior informing,she was pushed onto stage like that.

if you guys also didnt notice,teenage was never really supportive of the cosplayers at the event.they dragged the cosplay segment as if they were hesitating,and when they were announcing the results,the MC sounded like as if he wanted it to be done and get over with.imho,it was really a disappointment.if Teenage want cosplay to mix with k-pop,at least give an equal treatment,so that no one will get the wrong idea that teenage was biased.

also,cosplayers were 'treated like dirt' by organisers and the k-pop fanatic crowd respectively.also,the sound,smoke and light system was a screwup.


Butthurt contestants who didnt win,Performances and Judges


first,to address to those who thinks that the person who won first prize doesnt deserve it,and that megumi should've gotten it first.

put yourself in a scenario where you're the first prize winner.you thought your performance was shit-tier,however you never had the slightest thought that'll ACTUALLY clinch first prize.you were elated that the judges selected you.but then,you were guilty because cosplayers were raging about how your performance doesnt deserve yourself any prize in anyway,and that megumi should've been the one who deserves it.

so to those guys,you're wasting your time cringing about that guy's performances.have you guys thought who made the decisions?its the judges.they have the final say in who wins what prize,so throw your flames in their general direction,not the poor guy tho he's performance wasnt as good.


to butthurt fags: (i wont mention who you are,but i know you're reading this) some of you are actually not happy that megumi won,because you guys claimed that 'she can win just by wearing a wedding gown'.for your information.
1. the entire set costs more than 700++,(costume,mask,wig,etc)
2.SHE ONLY HAD LESS THAN 48 HOURS TO ABSORB ALL THE MOVES BECAUSE I CHOREOGRAPHED IT AND TAUGHT HER ON SAT NIGHT(yes one day before the event itself because it was a last min decision)
3.we had to wake up at ungodly hours in the morning on sunday before the event to learn last min moves.
4.yes she screwed up,but AT LEAST she could buy time,dance around so that the dance will flow.
5.it wasnt a verbal performance.

those butthurt contestants.all you guys did was talk/lip sync on stage to the english soundtrack from your anime.the sound system was horrible,thus it was hard to pick up what you guys said.and for those with sound FX in your performance,you cant even tally your actions with it when you fought.i was watching from backstage,and your group members look like as if they were jumping here and there,trying to figure out when was the next sound FX.(sound effect)

one of the butthurt group had saikangs to assist you on stage during your performance.in case you werent aware,it'll minus alot of points off your performance,and your saikangs looked stupid when they were doing what they're supposed to during one part of your performance.

both of the butthurt groups.the reason WHY YOU DIDNT WIN was because your performance wasnt original enough.one was tailored,the other one was TAOBAO.megumi's costume?she spent such a big sum on it.look at her performance.look at the amount of time she only had to learn her moves.what did you guys do?lip sync.thats all.and you really expect to win,just because you guys are more well know in the cosplay circle for great cosplays,and that megumi only started out not long ago?if you guys really think she doesnt deserve her winning position,then kindly compare your own performances to hers.


Judges
mhmm,i'll keep this short.you guys announced that the contestants are judged on everything but performances.its a big joke,really.if cosplayers are not judged on performances,what are they still performing for?

and also,it is hell unfair that instead of drawing out two winners from individual and group category each,both were mixed together.how is that fair?its just like asking a group of 5 people to fight against a single person.



lastly,the k-pop fanatic crowd was f ucked up rude.jeering at cosplayers and shooting vulgarities at them because they block your view,because they had no where to seat because the k-pop fans already took up the ground infront of them with their asses.the cosplayers cheered for the k-pop contestants,and all you guys knew to do was to give cold stares as if we were some kind of freaks.shame on you guys.

What I'm trying to say is that more effort was put into her costume.some parts were self made,and don't forget.time was invested in finding tailor,cloth,etc.some details had to be brainstormed because it was a fanart,thus parts of costume wasn't shown.for one of the groups,their costume was from taobao.they just had to order at the comfort of their own homes and wait.

None of the parts from megumi's costume was from Taobao,that i can assure you.though one of the butthurt contestant made her costume herself,all she did in the performance was lip sync to the bg voice from the anime.so was the other butthurt group.

That wasn't the main point.

The main point was the the other elite contestants were butthurt and flamed megumi that the judges liked her because she was wearing a wedding gown.compared to the rest,her costume was obviously much more complex and on a higher level compared to the rest,since the judges judged on the costume too.system imo,the butthurt contestants should've already researched and find out one of the ironyish criteria which is they don't judge on performance.so if they don't,no matter how well you played your character's role,you'll never win as long as there's a more complex costume competing against yours.its like you saying how you won because you did an armoured character like gundam.so it was really unfair and uncalled for of the butthurt contestants to flame megumi because of her much more god tier costume,taking into consideration that the butthurts are more laojiao in the scene and they're not pleased that they lost to a cosplayer who has lesser experiences.

Ill pretend i didnt read the megumi part, cos i wasnt there to see the performance, so who am i to judge.

But yes i agree, the general cosplay segment felt like shyt. Performances delayed 1+ hours, sound system failed~ THE HOLDING ROOM WAS SHYT (dusty, dark)

I had to rush off by 4+, so i didnt catch much of the kpop drama and all.

But if whats on the thread is true, then teenage havent been doing a good job.

I was really surprised by the judges decision for the top guy... I am not going to blame him or anything his skit was entertaining in a way. Regarding the kpop guys I guess some of them are equivalent of religious extremist and we shall not be stereotypical about all of them... but I guess that there was big screw up in the management..especailly the holding room assigned for the cosers and their friends and such... I was wondering why wasn't the room adjacent to the one assigned to the kpop dancers...the one right behind the stage the one that they use for the cosplay workshop used has a holding area instead...I mean they could have move us over after the workshop was over...just my thoughts regarding this matter

Apparently , none of judges were bias to anyone or anybody. Aside the draggy award cermony ,the competitor did not win, when to did something and publicity the bad things about the winners , the management and the judge...

I'm against one particular judge, lol. No prizes for guessing. That aside, the judging criteria, which isn't really the fault of the judges, but of teenage management. I'm also hoping that the information Miyuki provided about the other groups is the full story, hopefully missing details don't start popping up everywhere.

And yes, I can vouch that the second prize winner's costume wasn't from taobao, because I was staring right at it last week for hours *somewhere* ~.~ Someone was rushing and dying D:

The experience and the number of years of which one has been in the cosplay scene is totally unrelated to the quality of one's cosplay.
