Oh, if you're hijacking condo pool, beware of security guards who may come to chase you guys away.

About eye makeup: It may be easier to put less/none especially if you're planning to take open eye shots since the chlorine would sting your eyes and make-up being there wouldn't help much... (Don't take my word for this though. Haven't been near a pool in ages)

Underwater shots are really cool so its worth all the effort. Jiayous!
(I'm getting really curious on what series you're planning to do though...)

As far as I know, dyes will run on the 1st few washes. But fabric paint should be ok.

Waterproof liquid Eyeliners haven't smudged on me before, but gel and pencil liners have, even without contact with water.
I used silkygirl precision liquid eyeliner. it's pretty good, so long you DON'T rub it.

Gel eyeliners, well... shouldn't run. I think.

But you should be wary of mascaras. waterproof mascaras don't run, but they tend to flake on contact with water. so you might have specks on your face.

waterproof foundations... hmm try theater makeup? Haven't used it before, but it's designed to stay on even though the person is sweating buckets from the spotlights.
If you have time, you can try spree-ing for dermablend? I heard it does wonders.
I'm gonna try to get it one day.

Sorry can't really help you with the venue...
but just take note, ALL swimming pools actually forbid entry into the pool with clothes on...
So, it doesn't matter if there is a resident among you. you went in with your clothes, so you are in trouble.
sooo... you'd have to get special permission.

Y.ou can try using grease-based foundations for underwater shots? I used it for my Yoshimoto cos and I sweat buckets. Other than a little smudging it doesn't really move. You'll be needing a few layers for it to work tho.

I got mine from Sonata dancewear at Wilkie Edge.

From someone who's using Theater Face Color, it's actually the Finishing Powder that help to "seal" the makeup from "melting" once you sweat. I dun use it so my collar always ended up with my face color once I start sweating too much. >_<

For foundation, I think you might want to try canmake's UV silkyfit foundation. I'm currently using it, and It should be able to take a few dips in the water. Because it usually stays on when I spray water on my face before washing the makeup off.
However, I can't guarantee it will stay for long.

FYI, today's ST Urban has a feature on synchronized swimmers. It lists the makeup they use: RMK Liquid Foundation, L'Oreal Super Liner, Sephora Mono Eyeshadow, Bobbi Brown lipstick. All visible by the judges, so should definitely show up clearly in the photo.

Also says they use gelatin on their hair, but getting it out is sure to ruin a wig.

There aren't many helpful guides for cosplayers for going underwater. But I know a few stuff like water pressure, currents and makeup that won't work in water and a LOT of Photoshopping required. So just want to ask:

    1. Are eyeliners (gel and liquid) durable in water?
    2. Will fabric paint run?
    3. Is there any concealer/foundation that might survive a few dips into water?
    4. Will self-sewn costume withstand the water pressure?
    5. I know shooting in the sea is practically asking for it, since SG waters are dirty like, VERY VERY dirty. But is there anywhere that has a deep pool with sand/stone flooring? I know a place with a mini pool with a stone flooring but it's... less than 50cm deep

    Any help appreciated, thanks ><
Did you take the underwater shooting
