    mmm...
eyebrow wax... most brands in watsons and guardian don't carry eyebrow kits with wax...
the 2 brands I think of are... e.l.f. and NYX

you may want to try Smoochiezz events?
Google or FB the name to see where they are selling items.
SOMETIMES they put items in watsons.

btw, NYX is a good brand in general... so yeah, I get my NYX stuff from them

I'll let you know if I notice eyebrow wax in watsons or guardian.

    Eyebrow sealer... uhhh
I think... I have seen it in watsons.
it's in the section with the heroine makeup and the misc japanese brand makeup
it looks like a bottle of nail polish, but the packaging has eyebrow on it.

I been eyeing NYX's Primer and I wonder, will it really works on those who're easily sweaty, to reduce the look of shininess when photographed?
    Primer | NYX Cosmetics

Can't decide whether to get the Studio Perfect Primer or Shine Killer or High Definition Studio Photogenic Primer, and whether they will work as the base before I apply my GRIMAS Professional Cake Makeup.
(Am on a tight budget so dun want to waste money getting them all to try out)

And if I have a Tanned skin, will using White Base color make my Cake Makeup or Foundation appear lighter? Or should I be using other colors (so many choices at Daiso! White, Orange, Green, Lavender etc etc @[email protected] )

And any recommendation to which Concealer Brand works best for covering Dark Brown/Black pigmentation or "flat" moles?
Thinking of getting M.A.C. one (it's in a small jar, like a cream and apply by hand or brush/spatula) but scare it dun cover well enough to my liking, and will shows under my Cake Makeup.

    QAQ
    haven't checked back in ages.
    SRY!!!

regarding NYX primer, I have only tried the studio perfect primer.
It has a waxy texture to help fill in pores and smoothen (due to the silicone) but it does help makeup last longer.
I haven't tested it with creme makeup... (is grimas creme makeup???? Oo I'm not familiar with this brand)
but generally to prolong the life of creme makeup, you need to spam A LOT of setting powder.
Ben Nye neutral set, or any translucent powder is good for colored makeup.

If it's powder makeup, the primer will help to prolong the life of it...

For tanned skin to look lighter... you CAN try purple toned makeup base, but... it probably would not help much.
The key for this is to use more full coverage foundation products.
Revlon Colorstay Liquid foundation, and MAC Studiofix powder foundations are ones I have tried before that offer real good coverage.
stipple on the liquid foundation to get a flawless and well covered look.

You may also try... Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme foundation. it seems to have good coverage too.
I'm just... apprehensive about... the hygiene of it and haven't got around to buying it.

For concealing... the MAC one seems to be good, but pricy.
NYX does have a pot concealer. I use Mehron colortattoo concealer wheel, it's pretty good!
But if you get a good coverage foundation... you might not really need a concealer?
I did double up my revlon colorstay liquid foundation as a concealer, and it worked pretty fine.

Of course, when applying designs or colors over the concealed area, you need to be extra gentle... cos you might shift the concealer and reveal the spots... so just take note of tht!

    Hope it helps!!!

Just learn the basic will do the job, like applying Foundation and maybe Press Powder, Eyeliner. Check out how Male Cosplayers like Kaname do their Makeup.

Lip Color, is a tricky thing when doing Male Character; I take the Shortcut and just apply my Foundation on my Lips! XD

Kind of appalled how neglected I let this thread become...
Probably haven't visited sgcafe in a year...
=.= hopefully next year I will be more free to join cosplay events and keep up makeup advice.

    Anyway... NEW EDITION! YEAH!!
I was making this prosthetic and halfway decided I COULD make a post about it, full of the stupid things I did and the one single brainless GOOD thing I did. hahaha

    Special Halloween Edition!!
Dabbling in DIY Prosthetics (NEW!! 28 Oct 2014!!!)
    * Also useful for cosplays needing minor prosthetics

    Hope this is helpful.

  15. Thanks to Tesun for this useful post!
