I'll use this place to post up useful stuff about WIGS & PROP MAKING.
These are ADVANCED level WIG styling & PROP making...
Suitable for those who are proceeding from Newbie/Intermediate Levels, & want new challenges
OR simply if you need to know how to make specific items for your specific cosplays
For Newbie-friendly links, see posts above this one & Relevant stuff from Naoko
The links mentioned here were given to me by my Beloved
WIG FORUMS by KATIE
(with stickies on different stylings for wigs)
Tutorial Page (very limited stuff only -- go to the General Wigs section for more.)
Forums Pages (Tutorials are on stickies)
SPECIFIC Cosplay Wigs questions/answers (Need a character's wig? Maybe you can find that someone already asked here):
You might have to do abit of poking around these sites ...because they are so random and all the knowledge are in those question/answer bits...
PROP MAKING by THE PROP BLOG
This is commonly known as THE PROP BLOG
Poke around! And you might find what you need.
To view more, just scroll down to the bottommost of the page and keep clicking EARLIER POSTS..
This link above will land you at a page where Amethyst Angel made a sword prop,
that is made up of two HUGE daggers,
that could actually be attached together to form ONE MASSIVE SWORD.
Yes...it could stay attached, and can be detached...just like it is in Game..
*just keep going forward and backwards on her site to see her stuff..its amazing*

Posting this piece of info. from a thread...as requested by Sour_cheese
HOW TO KNOW WHETHER YOUR WIG IS A basic WAVY WIG OR A basic STRAIGHT WIG (styling not regarded)
For cosplays, look for wigs style only by judging from the top half of the character's drawing.
If its wavy from 50% upwards, then its a wavy wig.....
If its straight from above 50% of the hair length, then its a straight wig in real life.
the remainder of the style of the wig is then dependant on additional styling AFTER you have already gotten in your mind/knowledge which TYPE of wig its basic form is. This includes Curling the exact %tage to get the right look.
Hope this helps~ Cheerios~
