Fans can create music for new version of Vocaloid rhythm game.

Following a successful video game debut on the PSP a couple of months back, virtual idol Hatsune Miku has her sights set on a new platform. Sega announced today the development of the tentatively titled Project DIVA Arcade, an arcade title featuring the popular Vocaloid.
Sega hasn't shared much on Project DIVA Arcade, aside from describing it as a rhythm game.
The company is taking a unique approach to the game's track list. The general public will be given a chance to contribute their own music for use in the game. Contributions will be accepted between October 15 and October 31 at the Project Diva Nico Nico Channel. Songs must be between 2:30 and 3:30 in length and cannot be remixes or variations of existing songs. Pro and amateur are both okay.
The Project DIVA development staff will select the winning songs and announce them at Nico Nico on November 16. Winners will have the honor of their song being used in a location test that's set for January 2001, and possibly in the final arcade release as well. Additionally, Sega will be giving winners Hatsune Miku goods.
See the Nico Nico Channel for a teaser clip for the arcade game. This clip was posted a couple of weeks back, but the game's identity was only announced today.
Can I serve you with my fist, master?
Arcade people will start naming Miku, Diva. lol
Wow the location test is suuuuure long past.
Holy shiat! And while we are all tricked into thinking Sega has fallen from glory in the past decade or so, they have been secretly developing a time-machine!!
'Conquer the Past to Command the Future'
They are going to conquer the past by releasing a Miku game before Miku is even developed!! Now THIS is Real Time Strategy~~~!!!
星がみえない日も 光はあるよ、きっと…
Shit,what.
Miku was developed waaaaaaaay back before 2001?
Nowai.
Actually how much popularity has VOCALOID claimed in Singapore?
Putting that aside, I can almost imagine the scenario where the boyfriends of some couples will be too glued to this game if it ever appears in our arcades. And the girls getting jealous because they'll start assuming their guys have fallen for a virtual diva XD
OMG is this really happening!! MIKU MIKU!! * drools*
And I'm guessing it it hits here = machine hogged.
I'm going to sing out LOUD if I happen to be playing any songs in thefuture. And dance.
Imma spam the world is mine if the song is in
How can that song not be in!?
The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku would surely be in it as one of the few extreme songs I think.
i wonder when singapore going to hav this game T.T
Do i need a siggy?
world is mine is definitely in. Disappearance is already confirmed in. Location test is already underway and the gameplay is exactly similar to the psp. 4 buttons which have the X O Triangle and square icons on it FTW. Btw the screen is touchscreen but the only thing that the touchscreen can do is adjust volume? =.=
Will be talking to some of the managers in the arcades to see if they have any intentions to bring this game to Singapore.
Probably Saturday. I'll ask Arcadia and TKA. Screw Zone-X and Timezone. Whatever machines they get doesn't end up happy. I would feel sorry for Miku in this case.
Those who wants the machine here, ask along as well. The more people requesting it, the higher chance of it coming here if it can.
For those who don't know, this is how the cabinet looks like. Nice design there.

i can't wait T.T
Do i need a siggy?
Asked Arcadia already. They will try to propose the game to the higher-ups to see if they can get it here.
Factors to take into consideration includes:
Can the game get out of Japan? (Does Sega allows?)
Is the game going to be appealing here?
Cost and etc...
And most importantly, can their supplier in Japan get hold of one of the game cabinet for them?
If you do wish to try to get chances up, do help feedback to the Arcadia managers about Project Diva arcade. The more people requesting, the higher the chance of it coming.
Show the love for Miku, get her back to Singapore again!
