ANN synopsis:
A spate of mafia assasinations occurs in America, the work of the mysterious organization named Inferno. "Phantom" is their most strongest and capable assassin, however a lone tourist witnesses Phantom's latest act of murder. He unwittingly exposes the top assassin's true identity, a young girl named Ein. Witnesses are usually killed, but the man is captured and taken to be brainwashed into "Zwei", Inferno's newest assassin, with no memory of who he is. From this point on, Zwei is drawn into a world of conspiracy, deceit and violence.

my take on 1st episode: sprinkled with actions and plot looks promising in terms of power play among the stakeholders of inferno. can see ein and zwei heading down the romance path in later episodes but the suggestive intimacy is somewhat done in bad taste to me

director and story is by Mashimo Koichi...the same guy who did .hack// series,madlax,noir,avenger,el cazador, and ergo proxy and all those famous conspiracy tittles....one ting ya expect in the series is there probably wont be anyting funny about it...its all serious....

tho for once im glad the guy actually put a main male character in the lead cast instead of the typical 2 girl duo in all his other series except .hack//....cheers for that....

and this is a great series by a great storywriter...^^ confirm wont disappoint ^^

You seldom getting any anime series with a young naked guy losing his memory. But to have 2 in one season is unbelievable. I really love the premise and the 1st episode has a nice balance of intrigue, action, nice characters and even a hint of sexiness in it.

However, given Mashimo Koichi's track record, I would be a little wary of how thing will turns out. Noir, Madlax, Ergo Proxy all started out great but falls flat towards the end. Let's hope that Phantom will not disappoint this time. But it feels too Noir-ish for it to be awesome in my book.

zzz....ppls these days just go for a nice juicy action series and forget all about plots...sigh...

nontheless im still supporting this one...^^ EP4 is nice....to tink good acting skills is also a prerequisite for an assassin....lols...^^

epi 4 is a nice episode~

although i kinda find it weird to see Ein suddenly being so emotional towards the change in Zwei.
She was asking him all the way from the start to forfeit all feelings and she was so emotionless for the past few episodes , then suddenly became so emotional towards Zwei.

long time no partner...? rather this is her 1st...lols.....still its nice to show a lil weakness...if not u get an all godly character....kinda gets boring if used too much...=X

phantoms getting a lil too rediculously powerful imo...with 2 killer bots....wonder if anyone can give ein and zwei some challenge

Ein style quite obvious that is copying Kirika =_=
