    Hmmm, not much diff.

Cept that Ciao is way cheaper. And they hold less ink than regular copics. Oh and Sketch has a wider range of colours compared to ciao

yep. it's cheaper cos it can hold less ink, and lesser variety.
only normal copic cant be refilled.
but i'll prefer ciao's shape. sketch is just too.. oblong..

The colours come out really nice and bright (perfect for project work *_*) but I think I'm still more of a digital art person haha 8D

(I'm willing to sell my normal copics 72C set at a lower price, because I've barely even touched it ><)

    I have 1! Copic ciao 100 (black).

Don't really like it. Find the brush too stiff. But I just keep it to use it to ink large areas with the broad nib.

I prefer the copic multiliners (softer brush tips) and pre-filled chinese brushes.

I don't buy the colour ones because it's more expensive than a wacom tablet in the long run... haha. For colouring I just use photoshop. Or watercolours if I want the painterly look.

i have a set of 144. and tonnes of individual colours.
and lots of colour pencil sets from derwent and caran darche.
i dont really need them now cos my work is 95% photoshop and illustrator.

if anyone needs copics at a cheaper price, find me!

they're lightly used and well taken care of.

Ciao i heard you couldn't refill so i refrained from buying them.

Currently all i have is a 36 box set of Sketch and two pencil box full of markers.

COPIC is like an addiction. Once you start, its very hard to go back.
hmm do you layer your colours or just colour darker tones beside the base colour?

What are a few commonly used colours to start off? I wanna try copic but don't wanna buy colours I would not touch/bought wrongly >.<.

And do you use the blending marker often?

when i started doing renderings, i just layered my colours.
for darker shades such as shadows, i use cool greys or warm greys on top of the colour to darken it.

i also use pastel powder to blend colours.

when you first started off with copics; what would one need to look out for? Like not pressing the nib too hard so it wont get bent - w -; or maybe type of paper?

    I heard, dolphin paper and maruman sketch book paper was good. Does Double A paper work as well? I tried drawing or scribbling on it with normal markers but the ink seems to leek through! i'm so afriad that copics might have the same reaction and i might sooner or later get a whole in my paper = w =;;;

normal printer paper papers would bleed most of the time.
i usually use marker paper (like those from copic) or some heavyweight paper.
when i was in school, we used catridge paper or pastel paper.
