What do you think of Events providing package "tour" deal for overseas visitors?

Example, lets say next year AFA organizers tie up with tour groups to provide package tour for their events in Malaysia, Indonesia and etc...would you be interested?

o wow, that would be nice, to save my trouble of researching for hotels/flight tixs/etc. eh but hopefully they give different ranges like high end/middle end/budget ones so we can chooe? cox most likely, pple would be spending more in the events/merchandise/costumes/etc.

That would be VERY nice, since we would have some difficulties getting entrance admissions and yes to arranging accommodations, flights and transportation on our behalf!
Down side is probably you won't have time to enjoy the rest of the country =/

WTS Travel had that arrangement for last year's Tokyo Game Show, the hotel was darn nice for a 3 day package deal.

Problem is finding out if the event has such an arrangement. I did not even know Tokyo Game Show already has one. Will look out for it.

I found out about the TGS offer through browsing cosplay.com forums while looking for comiket info. Strangely, it was not mentioned on the TGS website.

For Malaysia, I'll make do with Accommodation and Entry Tickets ones since I prefer to go Shopping and Meeting friends on my own for Malaysia (Got a Street Directory.....can go almost anywhere!) And unless they give good prices, I rather look for my own transport.

2 years ago (2010), when Comic Fiesta was organized at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, the event organizer had a special Hotel Package for us Overseas Visitors and indeed it was a good deal as normal rates for BTS Hotel isn't cheap IMHO. Wish they had done the same with Traders for CF these past 2 years but seems like not.


For Indonesia, well, guess will be good if the Package covers transports, pick-up at Airport to Hotel (and vice versa), Accommodation (4 Days 3 Night at least) and Convention Ticket Entries. Sightseeing......if I get to Indonesia, I might want to explore the place myself as looking more towards finding materials than visiting some tourist places.
