IF you go DIY, you might need 1 or 2 boxes, depending on your hairlength, and you might need to do it twice... boxes of dye can range between 15 (on sale) to 30 depending on brand.
If you go to a shop. expect at least 80 for hair colouring. still might need 2 trips to get it light enough.
you're gonna construct them out of metal? are you serious?? i always thought cosplayers use plastic or it'll be damn heavy.Originally Posted by darthanakin

unless you have a few hundred to AT LEAST a hundred to spare. i don't recommend anyone to approach any props master.
just like tailoring, we charge for materials and workmanship.
everyone charges a different rate depending on various factors. and everyone's work with different materials differ too. no prop master's work is the same.
to my knowledge, metal is ALWAYS the most expensive, followed by wood and acrylic, ranked according to the difficulty to process the material and priced accordingly too.
darthanakin:
there arn't any blacksmiths in singapore.
nowadays the few smiths you can find around are usually dealing in precious metals or they are employed to do something specific, like custom made katanas that can cost as much as a 5-room HDB flat or a small condo.
what you need is a props master. not a blacksmith.
I love it when i can get emotional responses from you all without doing much. Too easy
Use the Ignore List, it's the best function of this forum, everything else is just fluff.
ok thanks for the info. Are there any guides on DIY? I searched a bit and found a few that use foamOriginally Posted by KeoKepa

it's leather, maybe using interfacing/ cardboard in the fabric will work too (10 com X70 cm)Originally Posted by dusty
but i think if you are doing yukari you need one of those, a long 3 layer tulle one and a shorter 3 layer tulle one too
just a suggestion, i've seen people doing that for lacus's gown
mom bought interfacing yesterday! Yatta! I will go experiment tonight.Originally Posted by Verdandi
