REALLY REALLY Wanting to Start Cosplaying

Hi readers,

I am a 19 year old awkward girl interested to start cosplaying, however I am very shy and scared to try.
(Even posting this post takes me a lot of guts to do so.)

Just wondering if anyone have tips or know how to help me as I really REALLY want to try cosplaying myself! And hopefully I would be able to gather my guts and courage to Cosplay at Singapore's Anime Festival Asia 2016 coming in end November this year.

AND I hope I can Join a team of cosplayers and start going for events and all, because I truly believe that it will help me to be less shy and more open to people, to become more sociable and less awkward. It would be a good experience for me, and hopefully make me get out of my little shell and go out to experience the world.

I'm going to be 20 next year and I'm really tired of staying at home and hide behind my computer all day. I wanted to make a change in my life. I'm so very desperate! Please help me!
