How to wear men's kimono and hakama pants? I've been having trouble recently so help would be very much appreciated.

by the way I forgot to add I only have 1 sash...there's no extra sash attached to the hakama, etc. I thought it would be the same as wearing a kendo gi.........

ok this is what i do when i wear:

    1) wear the top 'gi' first

    2) secure the hakama's back by tieing the slash around your wiast(note the position of the rigid block)
adjust the rigid block to avoid it slanting to left or right
eh the protruding block at the left side is the rigid block (this is not haru's hakama, it's aikido hakama)

    3) adjust the top's position (pull the gi top tidy as the slash is in place clamping the gi's front flaps

    4) tie the hakama's front to the wiast

    5) tie the white slash (for bleach's shihaksho)

note: if you bought the set from haru (which i have a set)
you need to get additional white ribbons and hand stitch to the hakama
the standard package one is too short and hard to secure properly

Then how do you tie the bleach hakama? I bought 1 from haru for collection purpose but I plan to wear it soon.

I received 1 obi,1 hakama and 1 sash...does that mean I have to get 2 sashes? How do I tie it afterwards? There is 1 loop at each panel and very different from a aikido/kendo hakama.

Aiyo!! I got my hakama at Haru too!! xDD EHehe shop keeper also headache but i figured it out...

You wear the white top then the black top first...remember its left over right. Coz shinigami ma...

The hakama right, the longer bit that's sticking up is the back, the shorter bit is the front, k? You put the sash through the front bit first then cross over at the back, then you wind back over to the front and tie it into a knot lor...can can?? Need more help?? =D I took a long time to figure it out too...

ANd i recommend using safety pins else it might fall apart...the top. ><

eh... the haru's hakama is a bit dangerous to wear with the slash alone

    you can

hand stitch additional ribbons (protruding on both side of the front/ back piece)
this way you can tie the hakama's front and back separately

cos looping the slash through the front and back is like making the adjustment very difficult

how about 2 sashes? Is that still dangerous?

btw the V-bent at the sides...are they supposed to show until above my knee? If I don't wear long black pants underneath it will show through...how to overcome this?

1 more...the front and back panel...are they supposed to show? I've seen other cosplays and I don't spot the panels at all...especially the front one.
