risking lives for the sake of charity..
ok.. i really feel that i should post this to ask this.. to everyone here.. and i really want to hear how u all feel..
i see that every year.. mediacorp artist.. every charity shows they do.. they all do stunts to attract ppl to donate money..
especially since recent yrs.. mediacorp artist are doing more and more dangerous stunts..
ok.. true.. safety precautions are made.. but.. nothing are 100% safe.. isit really worth it to actually do until like that??

lol.
but after so many safety precautions are made, even though is not 100% safe, i dont see it as dangerous anymore...
not really that interesting to watch...
so it is well worth it to do for charity, haha
'ot'
i still remember those days where jackie chan do all his own stunts with no safety in his movie, so good to watch ^^

doing stunts to attract ppl to donate is seriously wrong. ppl donate because they feel for the victims, they want to help the victims and not because of seeing such dangerous stunts and they feel pity for the artistes. the IDEA IS TOTALLY WRONG.
stunts are okay if its only like once for charity show. but what is the point of having stunts year after year..

i've got nothing against doing stunts... but giving out prizes, i've got something to say about that.

i guess we got to think from the beneficieries pt of view. if what NKF does (like stunts and prizes) really does generate more money for the needy ... maybe its a necessary evil? i dunno ... depends how u look at it... do the means justify the ends or do the ends justify the means?

actually, the problem is not really with the NKF show but the increasing number of charity shows spreading the pool thin...so in the end, while the means may justify the ends, the returns would be less than satisfactory.

yep ... sighz.. i guess u can't avoid the conflict of interest. i mean renci will fight for their share, NKF will do the same... then there's the president star charity.. lol.. like a neverending vicious cycle... but i do understand and emphatise that their underlying motives are good. so i dun actually fault them. its like Game Theory for those versed in economics ....
