Default Photographer looking for Cosplayer to shoot

    Hi

I need to clarify the following:
    1) I am not a professional photographer. Photo taking is just my hobby =)
    2) I do not have a DSLR (at least for now). I am using Canon Powershot A570 IS.
    3) I dun gurantee photos that will be nice but I do try my best

Dec is my last school holiday. I may need to start work next Jun/Jul. This may be my last chance to shoot on weekdays. You can see the photos that I shot at the recent CosFest, CosCon etc at my Multiply. The latest series that I shot is the Cosplay @ Bukit Panjang Plaza (020907).

Anyone interested in photoshoot in Dec (weekday morning)? I did not put down the exact date because I expect raining weather in Dec. Date and exact time can be confirmed again. I don't mind shooting small groups (1-4) if you all know each other and cosplaying the same series.

I hope to shoot once or twice every week in Dec. If interested, do reply here which week that you are interested and PM me your contact. If there is many responses, then it will be based on First Come First Serve. Thanks.

Here are the range of dates to choose from.
    Week 1 (4th-7th)
    Week 3 (17th-21th)
    Week 4 (24th-28th)

    Latest Update (271007 10:20pm)

Sorry. I did not put the word "outdoor" shoot above. I try not to take indoor shoots (no choice for events such as EOY) because my camera will not give good image quality without a external flash. I also have no experience in studio shoots. Studio shoots require lightning techniques etc. Anyway, thanks for all the enquires

    To Be Confirmed

Hey Usagi-san. OK but I have not idea of how to shoot a big group of cosplayers. That is my concern... I got a lot to learn from you.

Haha. Sort of. But I am willing to take photos of a bigger group. The problem is I am not sure how is it going to be? Is there some sequence? Do you need to coordinate with the other photographers?

Or is it going to be like CosFest? Someone poses, we shoot. Then we go to shoot the next one. Is it something like that?

There are basically no hard and fast rules involved when you embark on a cosplay photoshoot. However, it would be good to work out with the cosplayers on the type of shots that they wanted, as well as doing some research into the location that you plan to have the shoot. (Also if you have the time, go and do some recce lar)

The post processing part after the photoshoot involved is also crucial as some of the feel required from a particular series may not be easily replicated under real life environment.

Lastly, some photogs do work together from time to time

Yup. For a start, the size will be about 1-4 people. When I have shot more, maybe I will try shooting a bigger group. I will see how is my progress first.
